Harlem Futures Homes
Harlem Futures Homes is a mixed-use housing project that links residents, neighboring schools, and the wider Harlem community. It combines a range of units for singles, small families, and multigenerational households with shared facilities developed in partnership with Success Academy and Harlem Grown, keeping affordability tied not only to rent but to access to education and culture.
Light-filled corridors, terraces, and rooftop gardens connect homes with classrooms, labs, makerspaces, a theatre, art studios, and a library. The lower levels stay open and active for the neighborhood, while the upper floors provide secure, comfortable housing with generous outdoor space for every resident.

Elevated Junction
This project reworks two existing buildings on Governors Island through an adaptive reuse strategy rather than demolition. One of the original structures is divided into three volumes and lifted, creating a new courtyard at the center of the site. A continuous ramp system weaves through the complex, linking old and new elements while improving accessibility across all levels.
Seating along the ramps, beneath the lifted building, and in the courtyard introduces moments for rest and informal gathering, so circulation and social space overlap rather than stay separate. By operating on the existing fabric—materially, spatially, and programmatically—the project reduces waste, lowers construction impact, and turns a previously closed ensemble into a more open and connected place.

Green Steps
Orientation Pavilion, Governors Island
Green Steps is an orientation pavilion for visitors arriving from the Brooklyn ferry. A compact timber room holds the information counter and exhibition wall, then opens onto a sunken field of planted steps beneath a row of trees. The stairs double as seating and gathering space, so people can pause in the shade, look over maps, and get their bearings before heading out across the island.

Futter Field Installation
This piece reworks a portion of Futter Field with a stepped wooden platform, two simple volumes, and a line of oversized frames. The frames can be sat on, leaned against, or passed through, so the structure reads almost like a small stage that people can occupy in different ways. Gentle terracing in the surrounding grass shapes loose “rooms” around it, giving the open lawn a clearer place to pause, meet friends, or watch what’s happening.
